Allowances 2

We allowed it to be:

Turmoil in our lands.
Laws don't solve anything, action solves problems.
Wars don't solve anything.
Step up to the plate and say," I want to work with you".
Ignorance of others? It takes two.

So by not taking action to solve a problem ,
WE effectively allow things to happen.
And inaction is very effective !
And it is long term.

Deforestation . Again WE allowed it to happen.
We demanded real wood.
We did not look at the long term.
Less shade.
Our air filters cut down.
Our lands eroding.

Does that coffee table stop UV?
Does that walnut chess board
filter out smog and dust to be washed away
in the rain?
Will that solid oak chest of drawers
hold back a river bank?
The trees were here first.
Will they be here last?

Thinking of trees in general,
why do you think they are so tall?
My family and I rode out Hurricane Katrina
in a two story apartment ten miles north
from the beach in Gulfport, MS.
I am personally glad for all the trees
around us.
They slowed the high winds
and kept them above ground level.
Part of a master plan?
You betchya !
Oops, off track, there.

Even in our actions to stop turmoil,
we are still allowing it to happen, WAR....
as a PEOPLE, through our own ignorance,

We are attacking the results or actions of others...
and not addressing the real problem,
man's inhumanity to man....
If it happens to one person,
it happens to us all !

By watching it on the news (war, violence, etc:)
we are allowing it into our homes and lives,
allowing it to become a part of our lives.
We now expect to see it where-ever-we-go!
We will get what we expect !
Our nation will be next.
Others are already seeing to that.

We have one of the choicest pieces
of property on this planet.
I personally don't want anyone
who does not care about their war torn
land , to be allowed to ruin ours.
Or be allowed to take it over.
We have to stop thinking of just ourselves,
and think of the future of this planet.

We have to start thinking globally
as a society !!
We always have a choice,
but we all have to be reading from
the same book called "PEACE"
and from the same page at the same time.
Or else we are just ants marching ,
allowing ourselves to follow a chosen few
who allow inaction and policy to cloud
their actions.

By viewing, listening to, or participating in
violence of any sort, we are allowing it,
accepting it as our norm, our lives,
and subtly saying it is ok with us.

We don't actually come out and say
these things are ok with us.
We just allow things to happen
and over time these things become the norm for us...

Whew, got to go.
Why do you think the world is round?
So it can be viewed from all angles !!!
As it should be...and it was meant to be !!
