Public Prayer in our schools, streets, workplace, mass transit.

Darkness absorbs the light, why is that? Seems like a complicated question,
does it not?
Not really...darkness does not want you to see the light!

Our vision requires light to bounce off of objects around us and enter our eyes,
so that we may behold an object in our minds as something real, and not just a thought, randomly bouncing around in inside our heads.

This light keeps us from being lost in this life.
It keeps us from just bumping into each other,
not knowing where we are going, or where we may have already been.

Back to the darkness for a moment.
Let's take on drug addicts, one of my favorites.
Have you ever noticed they hide physically and emotionly behind darkness?

They tint their car windows so dark you can't see inside them.
They have dark rooms in their homes. I think it is so they can not physically
see or remind themselves how low they have gone down the tunnel of darkness.
Away from the light, the truth, the real answer to their needs.

Prayer in schools...whew!

I do not think we should stop worrying about it. After all,
our forefathers prayed for a new land on which to have the freedon
to worship aloud the Father of all fathers and mothers.

It is really all about gratitude.
Grateful to Him for having the public ,or otherwise, schools to be in
out of the extremes of weather.

Taking away this God given privilege of speech in general in public...
Is a selfish, backwards, communistic approach at controlling others...
because some others don't like it.

Excuse me here, folks...

Teacher to Johnny , " John Smith, are saying a prayer back there, did I just
hear you do that out loud? You know the rules in this school."

Johnny to teacher, " Yes Ma'am, my folks taught me to pray, taught me manners, too."

(class giggles)

(teacher) Class,class, be quiet...John, let's you and I go to the principal's
office right now!

(darkness took away the light)...

and complicated our lives...

What was the real disturbance in that classroom...
The prayer?
Or the darkness that seemed to prevail afterwards?

Satan deals in confusions...keeping you in the dark so to speak!
Mentally, and physically, in the dark!

We have to fight to keep the light on.
If we just sit and let it be taken away from us...satan has won
by default!!!

What were thoughts of all the rest of the children in that class?

If we are forced to make a decision based on someone else's belief system,
where is our freedom?

Where is it?

Hiding in darkness, looking for the light!!!!

(Principal) John were you saying a prayer in class?

(Johnny) Yes, Sir.

(Principal)Why?

(Johnny) Because my folks taught me to be thankful for things.

(Principal) Like what?

(Johnny) Like food, clothing, my dog, you know everyday things.
I didn't mean to disturb the other kids. But I had to say it. It
was in my heart.

(Principal) Well, I will let it slide this time, John. But no
more from now on, understood...? (darkness took away the light)

Back to class...

Boy I am not going to say any prayers in this class either.
A couple of others agree...why?

Darkness prevailed.
The children not strong enough in their faith yet were intimidated by
the establishment...kept in the dark about the real world of evil fighting
to keep them away from the light.

Some of the children made bad decisions that day from that experience.
Decisions based on biased information, not enough input yet in their
forming years.
They chose to be afraid...afraid of the teachers, of the school...
afraid to make a decision based on their feelings in their hearts.

Decisions that should be made by us, not for us!!@!

Cash For Clunkers

Hi folks...

Hope everyone reading today is okay...and thankful for it!

C_F_C_'s and M_O_'s

Cash For Clunkers and Missed Opportunities.

Wow what a program, I am not sure who is responsible for this government program/blunder of our tax dollars. Just like the other cash bailouts/bones our
government bigwigs throw our way.
Sorry this is not the reason for this today.

Cash for Clunkers...

Sounds something like a small town used car lot sales gimmick...

What is going to become of all the lost refrigerant in all these vehicles in our junk yards...if it is not recovered in the shops around our country now?

I know A/C hoses and seals leak over time...I work on vehicles everyday.

How come some bright young politician has not thought of recovering the refrigerant from these vehicles before they hit the junkyards and the crushers?

Hmmm...is our government really looking out for us, our children's future, here?

How about the freon that is going to leak into the atmosphere in the next few years.
More importantly, what about the freon that is going to be released when these vehicles are crushed in the junkyards around our great country?

How come some bright young politician has not thought about our
children's future here folks?

Because most politicians are like drug dealers and figure we as drug addicts just need a shot in the arm to keep us happy for now...whew!

Don't think so?

Think Economic Stimulus Package...

Think Tax Rebates...

Think Cash For Clunkers...

I work for a new car dealer. Almost thirty years now spread out over five different dealerships and four brands of cars...they are all the same, greedy.

So why has someone not thought of recovering this surplus of refrigerant to recycle?

Would it not be in the best interest of our economy and our environment, our children's future ????

Think outside your own little pocket books, okay?

What about some of these vehicles they are hauling away now at these dealers?

I drive an old clunker myself. But I can not even think about buying a new car for all the bills I have now.

Some of these cars/trucks are sweet, I mean really nice. And do you know what we do to them when they are approved to go to the junkyards?

We drain the oil out of them and put liquid glass in them and lock up the motors...
so no one can recycle them...did I mention that some of these vehicles are , really , really clean?
Yeah, thought I did!!

So, who is this program really benifiting?

Not me! Maybe it did you. Happy for you.

It is not helping the ones who really need a better ride.
And just like our health care here in the good ol'US of A...the ones who are really suffering, get crushed and pushed to the sidelines...never to be heard from again.
Until years later someone looks back on why this country failed in the history books. And says" Hey, you know if they had not crushed all those cars, and just gave the money to the ones who really needed it, instead".

S_O M_A_D

So Mad:

this is an acronym for ,

S_ peak
O_ ut

M_ ake
A_
D_ ifference...

Why is our country in such a turmoil financially?

The answer,Point Blank...can you take it?
Ok, here it is,

Because WE sat back and let it become what it is today.

WE have become lazy and let others tell US what to do.

WE have low self-esteem, and are afraid to stand out in the crowd.

There I said it...still with me?
Good!!!!

I do not really believe this country was founded on this principle, of
letting others control our moneys, and our social lives. The other part
is making laws that control the whole population for one persons wrong
doings, as if we are all doing the same thing wrong the one person had
done to society. Just like our prison systems, WE are all paying, through taxes,
for someone elses crimes.

The proposed economic stimulis bill? ______circa 2009...
is just one large welfare check to those who can not regulate their own
lives and their own livelihood. a government bailout, a money pit, just
like the movie of the same name...

I am just an average citizen of the USA. I have no mortgages, I have no
bank account. And yet, I am surviving ok for now. But that is all I have
ever done since I entered the arena of the job world in 1972.

This proposed package is just another scheme to take from the poor and
give to the rich...

WE have so many millionaires in this country it makes me sick...why?
Because we have so many homeless, so many sick people who need medical
atttention, they can not afford for themselves...

And yet we, as a nation, take their hard earned money every paycheck-
to keep this money pit going.

Has any previous bail outs, insurances, or fdic programs, really brought
about a continuous upturn to our economy...?

No...these are just put in place to patch things up in times of failure.

If the program no longer works that is in place...why do our elected
officials continue to try to patch it up...?
Why don't they change the program? hang on...

THEY are scared to buck the last regime...

THEY do not want to be known as a rebel...stems back to child hood days
of wanting to be different but the establishment said, "no way,bud...
you do as WE say, or you are suspended from school...".
Back to low self-esteem again, huh?

How can you be a leader in this government if you are scared to say no
to the last regime?
If you are scared to rock the boat why are you even in the boat?

I can answer that one too...money, greed , power over others, want to be
in the so-called forefront of our everyday lives...control freaks.

I know not all of politicians are like this...but can you think of ANY
that are daring to be different ?
Can you name ONE that has a plan to change the programs ...
To give back to the people what is rightfully theirs to start with...?
What? You do not know what that is? Remember this word?...

FREEDOM...

I do not follow the political battles on the news, nor do I follow the
news in general...I do not feel I have to.
Why, you ask...?
It is too sad, for one thing.
It makes me feel as if I can not do anything to change it... and in all
reality I can not, by myself, anyway.
Hence that is why we are supposed to vote, right...for what?
The same thing over and over and over, generation after generation,
nothing has really changed.

How about political parties...so sad, why do we still have parties anyway?
All they do is gather together to argue who is right...instead of doing something
together, and if it does not work, then try something else, until we all do find
something that will work, something right for the people, again...
not just politically correct!
WE need some people with insights...not hindsight.

The RICH STILL GOVERN this country because they can afford to
get out there and campaign...for what?

To keep the rich in control, and keep the poor, who are actually paying
for their lifestyle in the fist place ,poor.
So why do WE vote for folks who have million dollar mansions, as WE are
struggling to keep up, just surviving?
The big excuse...WE are greedy! and scared...low self-esteem!

Dont think so?...okay, lets take public schools for starters.
we are told in school to learn at a certain pace...their pace (the system's),
not the pace a child can actually learn...and when they don't get it in the
alloted time frame the system deems it takes to learn...
Then we make them repeat things over and over, until they do learn it,
or they fail...make them, got it...what is that called in other nations...?

Oh yeah, brainwashing...but we call it education here in the states.
Ok now we are told Johnny is slower than all the others in his class...

So what, do you remember in school when someone was held back a year
because they did not keep up?...How did you feel if they were your friend,
and you did not get to see them next year, or ever again...
because the system said they were too slow to be allowed to move on...
to be with those who could be brainwashed easier.

Why do you think schools push so hard to get us to learn?
To enter society educated, just enough, to keep the machine of this nation
alive...but just barely. WE do not want too many smart people out there
with us do we...hmmm?

WE have not taught our children anything, if they do not come out any
smarter than our generation did...
Think about it..read it again. WE have not taught our children anything,
if they do not come out any smarter than our generation did...

Where is the improvement in our system, if we continue to
teach that if complying with our set policy, you will pass... otherwise you
are different, slower than the rest.
Where is our self-esteem in all of this...dog-gone it, I know I had it
somewhere just a little bit ago...now where did I put it?

You know, as I am writing all this down. I can not help but wonder,
there is a story in everyone of us...and yet society will not get
to hear them all...Why?
Low self-esteem for starters, again.

WE look at all of the so-called good books, and comare our lives,
and we think we can not compete with all that jazz...hmmph...

Here it is in a nut shell folks...it takes ALL of US to make anything
work on this planet...correctly!

Lots of individuals control things...incorrectly for the rest of us!

They do not see it, or do not care...why?
Because we do not say, or do anything about it...but we are, so mad!

Today, before it is too late to change this country, and we all lose.

Why is this country so complicated? To keep the average person from
understanding how simple things could really be, if we all spoke up at the
same time and agreed on the same things necessary to keep our nation
alive.

WE need to put the people back into the news, and take out the political
unrest we seem to think we need.
Let's become contstructive again, and not de-structive, especially on TV.
Back to the brainwashing again...

I think that is enough pondering for now, huh?
Sincerely,

curiousity,self criticism,change,stress,share your light

Curiousity = every one has some...
Self criticism = being hard on yourself...
Acceptance of who you are = just takes time...
Ability to change what you do not like about yourself first(self=improvement) = open-mindedness, moving on...
Share your light with others after you know what you are doing...PRICELESS!

Curiousity:

About what you are about...
About why you are you...
About what is inside your head...
About what is inside your body...
About your appearance...ie: what others see in you. Not what you look like.
About the world around you, and how you fit in, or don't fit in. Is it just your opinion of how you do not fit in? Are you being realistic?
About how others fit into your life,by association, or otherwise...

Self criticism:

The ability to look at the real you, not what you just think others might see on the outside...can you take an honest opinion from others? can you see that their opinions are just that, their opinions...and only that! that is their criticism of you through their eyes only...not necessarily what is real.
Look at how you present yourself to others...
Do you just copy their actions and ideas?
Do you just reflect their personalities, just to establish repoirte with them, to be like them, to please them?
Will others take you seriously if you continue to act like them, just to please them?

Do you catch yourself laughing like others just so you fit in with them?
Do you find yourself talking about the same things others do so you fit in with the crowd?
Or do you change the subject...walk away.
Are you that strong?

Acceptance of who you are:

Do you accept who you are? Can you? It is the only way you can change
who you are...
Acceptance of the realization of what and who you are, is the first step to finding the real you...
So find out who you really are...

Do you just go around doing what you are told? follower...passive person...?
Accept it, but do not criticize yourself now for it...you have let yourself become this way, as have countless others in this world...so do not let yourself become depressed over it.
You have the ability to let yourself get in this situation, and you have the ability to get yourself out of it, also..

Are you just a doer? And have a hard time with others who want to tell you how to live your life? Accept it, and be proud you can do things in the light of other's criticism...they are just jealous of your abilities and are trying to control you with their way of thinking...Take their criticisms "with a grain of salt" as they say...
Have faith in that your outcomes will be okay with yourself for now, as you move on to bigger and better things in your life.

Listening to others is okay, it doesn't mean you have to follow their pattern of thinking...thinking by itself will not get you anywhere, doing will...

By doing things you have thought about, even if you fail some of the time,
you will have removed that debris from your doubtful-self ,cleared it from your path in life, and can now trek-on with other things.

Self-improvement:

Now the fun comes in...making the necessary changes to improve your own life.
After you have accepted who or what you are...do you now feel the need to change some things about yourself?

Good...

Pick some little thing about yourself first, something not so noticeable to others but you feel you need to change...something that will make you feel better. it could be something as simple as a haircut, or have your nails done by a professional stylist...

do it!

Now accept that change as the new you...does it feel okay? Do you have some doubt about the change? good, this is normal...it is your mind telling yourself that you do not want the change, change is stress, you grew up with it...it is your stress, and yours alone...mine,mine,mine...ha,ha!

All the inputs into your brain prior to the change you just made were put there
over time...your mind accepted them as normal, you have been brainwashing yourself...wowsers! have no fear, we all do it, over time...the constant inputs, daily, of the same thing, becomes everybody's norms...
Do not sweat it!

You have the ability to overcome them, we all do...some of us just forget how...

After the simple change and your acceptance of it...feel some gratitude for it,
say some thank you-es , thank you, thank you , thank you...lol, ;>)
Feel better? You should. Be sure to put some extra emotion in the thanks.

The law of gratitude...if you are happy with something and show thanks for it, more of whatever you are thankful for will come your way...

If you are not grateful?

The law of in-gratitude...if you are un-happy with anything and this is all you feel, un-happiness...you will get more of what you are feeling, just the un-happiness...nothing else...

So you see , you have to see beyond the now, what you are or just think you are...to where you want or who you want to be, by accepting what or who you are now is the only way you can change things. that opens the door of self-improvement...

Once again off the top...

Accept who you are, what you are...for now!
Accept change...
Accept the new you...
Feel grateful...this knocks on the door of the universe and its abundance...
this knocking tells the universe you want more of the same...

Open the door to self-improvement...

How bad do you want to improve yourself?
Can you put some extra emotion into your desire to change...
The extra emotion beyond how you feel normally, everyday, is what it takes to let the universe know you desire something new in your life, and not the same old hum-drum circumstances of yesterday...the extra emotion is like a magnet to attract more
of what you desire. We tend to put more emotion into getting upset with how things
are not the way we want them, than into how appreciative we are with the way things
are, as they should be.

Do something different today, even one little thing, and put some real emotion
into it...Yes,Yes,Yes!!! it can even be transferred in print!!!

Share the light with others:

Here is the real kicker folks, sharing your joy...

Not the sorrows, there is too much of that in this life now. It is so easy to just follow the crowd. Sit around and just watch junk on tv...There are some good nature shows on though, at times , check them out get to know the real world...before it is gone; oops, some negativity slipped in there.

Sharing is the key to longevity...if you keep anything bottled up inside of you for too long you become greedy of the info or material things, and the stress that "someone might steal it from you", will get you in the end. We have so much stuff now-a-days we have to have storage units to keep it all in...So much that we forget what we have sometimes and we'll buy another of something we already
have, cause we do not feel like going through the shed to find it...
The same goes for ideas or thoughts , we keep them to ourselves thinking ,someday, we'll get around to making something from them, instead of sharing them with someone who can and will use them...the rest of the world deserves these ideas , so just let them out, share, more will come back to you later.

Sharing relaxes you, it is as if a burden has been lifted from your shoulders. Sometimes you have to let things bounce off the wall, or someone else, to get the real picture of your life...it may not be as serious as you thought to begin with, or it may be worse...

I feel that writing is a form of sharing , sharing with the universe, ie: the thoughts you have are already out there, you are receptive to them.
By writing things, thoughts, ideas, drawings, etc...you are taking them out of your mind, sorta like flushing your toilet, maybe that is a bad analogy, using a toilet to represent your mind...lol...
Let's try thinking of your brain as a hard drive in a puter...but not the main
hard drive...just a clone or secondary...The real brain is the universe, or God in my case...uh,uh,uh...stay open minded, remember we are sharing ideas here!

So if I take "my" ideas and put them to paper, or write them to my puter, I have effectively removed them from my immediate memory.
Thereby opening myself up for more of the same things i just wrote about.

We are full circle now, back to the law of abundance.
The same goes for speech...it is a means of expelling our thoughts on others, who may have the fortune or mis-fortune to have to listen to us.

Hey, i appreciate you for having read this far!

Where have all the good people gone?

Perpuating life's patterns:

As a society...we have patterns that seem to be almost
perpetual in motion.
These patterns seemingly never change, we just make them look
different on paper (laws) and in the news, to try to make them appear
new to some of the regular folks that have regular jobs...you know us
folks who have to do manual labor to pay our bills.

Not the ones who direct us,or tell us how things are going on around us...
I always wanted to say that.

It is said that there is no such thing as perpetual motion:

Look at the pattern of this country and its society...it is following
the ways of past societies...it has given in to materialistic people,
who do not know God for starters.

It is proven in history, that those nations who do not show God
gratitude for their lives...will fall, spiraling down the tubes.

The greatest news of our times is how God is slowly being taken out
of our own government...our own public places...

OUR PUBLIC PLACES...did you get that?

These places do not belong to the ones souly trying to change
things...they belong to all of us.
So how come we all do not have a say so in it...

Because we are scared of the great machine of man!
The machine we have created to benefit all of us...or so we are
taught.
But the patterns show us that it only benefits the rich ...you know
the other old saying...the rich get richer and the poor get poorer!

Nothing has changed, this is the whole irony of it...nothing has
changed, just the faces.

We still allow the same old patterns, the same types of people to run
things for us...those that have money to advertise, but do not really
want to upset the machine...
Even if it means the complete and inevitable annihalation of the
machine.

Where have all the good people gone?

Behind the scenes?

This so-called government needs new campaigns, new faces, new
attitudes towards the rightful, needful people, that actually
struggle to make ends meet...

I think after two hundred years we should be big and strong enough to
do what is right by others...not just feed them a lot of the same
thing our past politicians gave us...you know we are deeper in debt
as a nation...

Are we so far gone as a machine that we have to continually
patch it up?
With no hope of ever making it new again?
I do not think so...but it will require WORK...it will require some
angencies to revamp...
It will require new agencies to open up new ways of doing things for
our own people...
It will require new avenues of payment to get average people
attracted to keeping the government open to the people, and not just
for the politicians...or just for the rich.

Lobbyists need to go...we already have people to represent us, they
are paid well...but because of constant little fires that have to be
put out they can not do their jobs...

There will have to be active groups of people involved in every
aspect of our lives, to watch out for us...
Sounds like the big brother thing we have all been worried about, huh?
not so...

If you have one group over here building dams all over the country,
and they do not know how they are going to impact the economy in
certain areas...or even take away from the economy of other areas at
the same time...

Or when an industry moves to another town...what happens to the
locals that have retirements set up with that business? poof...gone
with the wind?

We are not just numbers...we all have a face in the crowd !
No one person has the answer to our problems...well one did, and we
had him killed to save us...
I am glad we did have him killed though...otherwise He would have not
been able to save us...our souls would still be doomed to hell.

As we are still alive today, we still have the chance to change
things around in this country...but it has to start sometime,
by someone, somewhere.

Who will it be?
Where will they come from?
When will it happen?

The vessel must be whole:

But for the vessel to be full, and pure, it must be emptied first...
God's love can not fill you up, if you have not emptied love of self
completely from your vessel.
For if there be any love of self over others first, then God's complete spirit cannot fill you up and run over to others.

If you take a coffee cup and do not clean it out of old coffee,
and later fill it up with water, will it not taste of old coffee?

Such is man's spirit...if there be any love of himself still left inside him, how can God's love complete him...His love will be diluted,
and not full strength...man's love for his fellow man will be the same way, diluted.

Some of man's selfishness will spill over to the next man, and so on...
until the whole of man will have selfishness, instead of love.

Such is the world we see today...man's selfishness has diluted God's love
so that as a whole species, love is remotely displayed.

How can God's love fill up our spirit...? while we dilute it.
How can God's love fill up our lives...? while we dilute it.

Selfishness is like a broken vessel, it can diminish a man's spirit.
It will make the spirit weak, unable to give of itself 100%...
It will make him not want to give of himself completely,
because he will not feel whole enough to give even a little bit of himself,
for fear of losing what he has.

If a man feels not love from his brother,
does it not say that his love is not there for his brother first?
To get you must give first of your own love, for once the void is
created it will be filled up immediatley with more love.

God's love can be construed as a river that flows continuously, and how so?
Even as a river that flows to the sea is replenished by the rains,
so our love will be re-generated by God, if we give it to others first...

Our love for each other is the bonding agent that keeps the vessel of man together...it is like a glue that keeps all our pieces in place,
so that God's love can fill us up with His love,
so our cups can runneth over with it.

So how do we empty our vessels of any selfishness ?
Faith in Him, first of all...
Lose our fear of lack...second.

If we feel lack in anything or anyplace in our lives...we are selfish...
our vessel is broken, love for others is weak, or in short supply from within us...
We can not give fully, because we are not full of love ourselves,
because of the hole that lack has created in our vessel.

When was the last time you felt full of love?
Probably when you gave selflessly, right?
Most likely when you gave to someone else with no expectation
of anything in return...

The love you felt was God's gift to you, to fill your void you made by giving in the first place.

The diluted feelings of love in your vessel were replenished with a fresh supply of love to fill it up again, making your supply even more stronger,
like a broth in a soup bowl...
Some of your selfishness was diluted in turn also by more love from Him to you.

If you give nothing but hate towards others, no love will return to your vessel from others, except by Him, it is always there for you if
you will open up your heart and soul to Him, and accept His love...

Even though our cups may not be full, we should not feel lack, because our cup is not empty at all...we should be grateful that we have anything in our cup at all...even as a crumb to a mouse, we should be grateful for the smallest of things given unto us.

One of the hardest things to do

We are taught to "be the best that we can be". Wow,
there is some stress for you...consistently. I am a miserable
failure at times...we all are! But to accept it when it happens,
is one of the hardest things to do...and yet,
it is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Experiment: Find a quiet place with no distractions,
no radios, no tv, no one else to disturb your peace and quiet.
I know, I know, there aren't too many places left. Trust me
in saying though, it is worth the effort to find one for yourself !

I have had several aquariums at my home, and this one thing
I read a long time ago still holds true...that as long as a fish
has a place of refuge he/she will always be confident in its life,
and secure in its surroundings, and will always be protective of it.
The fish will also remain active and healthy.
That sounds like a good recipe for us too!

Find a place that you can go to repeatedly when you need to...
This place will then be your refuge in sad or bad times. You
can go there physically, or just mentally when you can't.

Now are you in your quiet place? Good! Give yourself
about thirty minutes to forget the things that brought you there
in the first place. Tune into your surroundings.

Now think back to a time when you really messed up something,
and felt so ashamed you wanted to crawl into a hole and just hibernate...
Well guess what? you are there now...
Now make a big smile, even if you have to fake it, OKAY?
It will help for the next step.
If you did this right then you will feel some sadness
from the thing you did wrong, and at the same time
feel some gladness that it is over. This is what I call mixed
emotions, and they can run away with you, control you,
and make you a recluse if YOU let them.

Turning off the worrying, bad emotions, that seem to cripple us,
is the trick. Just thinking of past events can stir up emotions,
even the ones we had thought we had overcome. This is why
you need peace and quiet to practice this. Distractions will not let you
concentrate on the one emotion at a time. Remember I said
to smile, do it now. Do you feel more lighthearted? Good.
Facial expressions are linked to our emotions also.
Maybe you can, or can not, make things completely right again.
But we can forgive ourselves, and forgive others, too.

You now have a choice to make.
Everyone has a choice here, you either remain upset
emotionally....or you learn to accept things the way they are,
and turn off your emotions so you can move on.
Remember this past event you brought up is just that,
"from the past".

Everything that has happened to you, even the
emotions you are now feeling, are from the past.
Right? Ok, then...

These feelings were not in the present,
until you thought of them again.
Your emotions keep them alive. Can we turn the emotions off?
Yes, but it takes practice on your part ! It is not easy,
and requires discipline on your part. Do you want to control
your life again? Yeah, I thought so!

It is proven that it takes about thirty minutes of solitude to
get rid of all thoughts and emotions cleared out of our minds.
You know, like that tune stuck in your head after you turn the
radio or tv off, it just keeps playing over and over...

For example: I can be in a quiet place, and my emotions
will be so strong at times, that even just a single word heard
in a place, will trigger a song in my head with that word in it!
So give yourself some time to calm down from whatever is
stuck in your head. Observe your surroundings, let your
emotions "cool off". Give them time to fade away...

You may not get to that quiet time where you are in control of
your thoughts, the first time... DON'T GIVE UP ! We all had
to practice getting up to crawl, then we had to learn to pull
ourselves up to stand, then we had to practice stepping away
from the chair or whatever until we could walk...then we had
to practice walking until we could run...

Each new experience gave us the confidence to move on...
The past experience or confidence was our safe refuge to return
to if we needed to...we do not usually use it, but we know it
is there, if we need it. Just like the fish in my aquarium.

This is very important to remember, every new thing we
desire to do requires some practice, until we are happy with
the experience and it becomes "second nature" to us.
If you do not become happy and confident with where you are,
you will not have the confidence to move on...
You will stay in your comfortable rut called life...sad, but true !

Do I continue to stay sad, or get up from my quiet place
and smile all the way home, wanting to make things right again?
I say to myself " I am not perfect, neither are the other parties
involved in my problem". Remember to smile... ;>)
Pracitce smiling into the face of defeat... ;>)
Defeat will soon tire of your constant smiling, and will give
way to your victory...

It is the giving up and saying to myself that,
"I am not perfect" that I finally give in to admitting...
I make mistakes from time to time, that finally gives me
the signal to get up and do something...to crawl out of my rut,
and face the rest of the world...realizing that no one else
is perfect either. We all make our share of mistakes, no one gets all
things right "the first time", every time.

Every time you see someone else doing it "right the first time",
remember just one thing...just because you saw the
one time they got it right in your eyes, does not mean it was
the first attempt at what they did. This just happens to be the
first time you saw them do it. Remember to smile...it means
you have accepted things as they are, and you can say "it's ok",
and " I can move on now".

You just chose to see the one time they got it right...why?
That is what we are trained to see all of our lives. We are all
looking for perfection, that is why we are all so frustrated
all the time. Perfection is an illusion. We live in a world (planet)
perfect for us at this time. We just choose not to accept it as
ours, or that this is as perfect as it will get!

Our world seems to be in a constant state of chaos, but
in its chaotic state, there is a method. By everything being in
a constant state of change, the world as we see it stays the
same...not convinced?

Look back through history. There have always been
times of war, and times of peace. The earth itself is in
a constant state of change...
Earthquakes upsetting the land and the ocean floors.
Tidal waves cleaning off our shores.
Volcanoes making new lands.
Waves eroding our beaches.
Tornadoes destroying our cities...
Nature was here first! We can not stop it!
Why would we...the world is in a constant fight for balance.
Therein is the perfection of this planet.
After all, how long has this been going on?
How, or why, do we think we can make it any better?

OOPS, sorry for the side track there...please forgive me. ;>)

Shame or guilt keeps us from admitting we goof up
once in a while...so what! Your real friends will accept you
for it...and they will probably like you even more for it...
Failure often builds character! Who doesn't like a real
character around from time to time? ;>)
Accepting yourself now as you are, will finally open up
the door so you can improve yourself, and your life !

Besides it does us all some good when someone else
admits their failure in front of everyone else, why?
Because it was not us that messed up at that time and place,
it sort of takes the heat off of us all, for a moment.

So practice turning on and off your past emotions, and keep
realizing that all memories of anything that keep us disturbed
emotionally are in the past and we continue to keep them alive,
"by choice".

We always have a choice to change things around us. The
choice may be to let things stay the way they are, or we can
choose to make them different. So it is with our emotions also.

Practice making choices in your life...don't let life make
the choices for you !
